Lake cleared for Drinking and Food Preparation but Not Irrigation

As of August 2011.

Test results show all sections of the lake are lower than the maximum limit of 75 parts per billion (ppb) for dometsic use of water including drinking. The state now dropped its restrictions on domestic use and drinking of the water. Restrictions on use of lake water for irrgation are also still in effect. The maximum upper limit set by the state is 1

The Stae requires all waning signs to remain posted until every section of the entire lake system falls below 1 ppb--or until October 20, 2011.

At entrance to Lily Pond: less than 1 ppb

East of entrance to North Bay: less than 1 ppb:

West of entrance to North Bay: less than 1 ppb

South of Cold Springs: less than 1 ppb

North of Forest House Bay:less than 1 ppb

Upper Channel midway to Bridge: less than 1 ppb

Middle of Little Lake: slightly more than 1 ppb

Dam: Less than 1 ppb

Mill Brook at Bridge (Geer Road) slightly more than 1 ppb
