For the second year in a row, our nesting loons have been successful, gracing the lake with another adorable loon chick!

As noted and reported by Dawn Smith-Pliner around noon time yesterday, one of the 2 loon eggs hatched, and a loon chick has been spotted with its parents - see the photo taken yesterday by LSC photographer extraordinaire Karen Velsor.

The parents are still tending to another egg at the nest - so we'll see if another chick emerges.
