Boating License Class (FREE!) - Wells

Each season, the LSCA offers FREE safe boating courses to help boaters satisfy the requirements by the state of Vermont and get their boating license. 

All boaters born after January 1st, 1974, must be certified to operate a power boat in Vermont waters. The certificate received by passing this class is good in all 50 states.

2 classes are available:

  • June 21 & 22, Poultney Fire Department
  • June 26 & 27, Wells Village School
Classes take place over 2 evenings from 4:30 - 8:30.

Classes are limited to 25 participants per class, and lesson materials are for 6th grade and above reading levels.
